Privacy Policy

CROW analyzes web pages for conversion problems. To do that we process the page content you submit, keep basic account data if you sign up, and collect standard product analytics. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use your page content to train AI models.

Pages you submit for analysis. When you run an audit, the URL and the public content of that page are fetched and processed. Audit inputs are processed to generate your results and are not used for anything else.

Account data. If you create an account: your email address and a hashed password (bcrypt — we never store the plaintext). If you join a plan waitlist: your email address and the plan you chose.

Visitor analytics on sites running CROW. If a site owner installs our CROW snippet, we record basic visit metadata for that site’s dashboard: approximate location (from IP), device and browser type, referrer, and UTM parameters. Records are capped and older entries are automatically discarded.

Product analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate product usage (page views, feature events). It does not use cross-site tracking cookies.

Audits are generated using Anthropic’s Claude models. The page content you submit is sent to Anthropic’s API to produce the analysis and is handled under Anthropic’s commercial terms, which prohibit training on API data by default.

We set a session cookie if you log in (so you stay logged in) and use localStorage for product state like your recent audits. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Hosting and analytics: Vercel. Data storage: Upstash (Redis). AI processing: Anthropic. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us.

Visitor analytics are capped (oldest records are dropped automatically). Error logs are capped at 500 entries. Account and waitlist data are kept until you ask us to delete them.

To access or delete your data, email hello@crowcro.com from the address in question and we’ll handle it within 30 days.

You’re the data controller for your visitors. Make sure your own privacy policy covers the analytics described above.
